Best packaging for shipping candles safely
Candles are heavy, fragile, and surface-sensitive — the wrong packaging means cracked vessels, chipped lids, and refunds. The right kit is a snug small corrugated box, a wrap of bubble or kraft paper around the vessel, and void fill that prevents the candle from shifting in transit.

Outer Box
Use the smallest single-wall corrugated box that fits the candle plus 1–2 inches of cushioning on every side. Snug fit prevents shifting; oversized boxes invite breakage and DIM weight charges.
Cushioning & Wrap
Wrap the candle vessel in bubble wrap or kraft paper, then fill remaining void so the candle cannot shift. For glass jars, two layers of small-bubble wrap is a safe minimum.
Labels & Tape
Apply fragile labels on at least two visible faces and seal with carton sealing tape. Labels do not guarantee careful handling but they reduce stacked-on-top damage in carrier sortation.

What is the best box size for shipping a candle?
Pick the smallest single-wall corrugated box that leaves 1–2 inches of cushioning around every side of the candle vessel. Use the Box Size Calculator to find the right internal dimensions for your jar diameter and height.
Bubble wrap or kraft paper for candles?
Both work. Small-bubble wrap gives more impact protection per layer, which is safer for glass vessels. Kraft paper is more sustainable and unboxes cleaner. Many brands use kraft paper as the visible wrap and bubble wrap as the void fill underneath.
Do fragile labels actually help?
They help marginally. Carriers do not guarantee gentle handling, but fragile labels reduce the chance the package gets stacked under heavy parcels in sortation. Use them as a layered defense, not the primary protection.
