Clear Poly Mailer Label Placement: A Pack Test
For a clear mailer, check the shipping label on the finished pack. The item, inner paperwork and folds remain visible through the film, so a label that looks clear on an empty bag may be harder to read after packing. Use the actual mailer, contents, label stock and scanning device before standardizing a placement.
CV912100PK clear self-seal poly mailers are listed as 9 × 12 inches, 2.5 mil, with 100 mailers per case. Those are the product's listed specifications; they do not establish a usable label area, a printer setting or compatibility with every label adhesive.
Record the pack that the label must work on
Prepare one representative order with its normal item, inner packaging and documents. Record the label's actual width and height, the printing method and the chosen face of the mailer. Keep the complete item stack in the sample: thickness and folds can change the surface available for the label.

Compare two placements on separate samples
- Use the same representative contents for both samples so the placement is the variable being compared.
- Apply each label using the label supplier's instructions. Keep the mailer's self-seal closure available for its intended use; do not assume a label can repair or replace the closure.
- Inspect the front and back. Remove or cover unintended shipment information using a method appropriate to the actual packing process. If contents or paperwork must be hidden, choose an appropriate inner wrap or a different outer package and repeat the fit check.
- Read the label and scan the intended code with the actual device. Confirm what was read, not simply whether the device made a sound.
- Put the sample through the planned internal handoffs and check the label again. Record the result for that pack and label combination.
A successful sample is evidence about that tested setup. It does not guarantee carrier acceptance, weather resistance, long-term adhesion or performance on a different product shape. Follow the actual service's current label and packaging requirements when preparing a shipment.
Count test packs separately from outgoing orders
For an assumed trial with two label stocks, two placements and two samples per combination, allow 2 × 2 × 2 = 8 mailers. If 175 outgoing orders each need one mailer and the eight test mailers are kept out of the order stock, planned use is 183 mailers. Two 100-count cases provide 200, leaving 17 before any further trials or rejects. This example sets a purchasing quantity; it does not prescribe a sample size or rejection allowance.
Save a packing reference that can be repeated
Keep the approved sample record with the mailer SKU, label stock, printed layout, placement and actual contents. Recheck the combination when one of those changes.
