Dispenser Box or Jumbo Roll Wipers at a Shared Station

Choose a dispenser box when the wiping supply needs its own small issue point, and consider a jumbo roll when several operations will draw from a designated station. Start with where operators need the next wipe. A shared product series does not make the supply formats work the same way at a bench.

KW117 is WypALL X60 industrial wiper stock listed at 9.1 x 16.8 inches in a dispenser-box format, supplied as a case of ten. KW118 is WypALL X60 jumbo-roll stock with 12.5 x 13.4-inch sheets, supplied as one jumbo roll per case. The sheet dimensions differ as well as the presentation.

Draw the places where wipes are used

List the actual tasks before choosing one central supply point. A maintenance cart moving between benches has a different issue pattern from a fixed workbench where several operators remain close to the same location. Mark where the unused supply will sit and where the person performing each task will obtain it.

For a hypothetical room with two stationary benches and one mobile cart, the buyer might assign a roll station between the benches and a dispenser box to the cart. That is an arrangement to evaluate, not a statement that either SKU includes a mounting accessory or that every cart has a suitable location.

Plan the roll station as a separate equipment decision

The jumbo-roll listing identifies the consumable. It does not identify an included stand, wall bracket or dispensing mechanism. If a roll station is selected, specify its equipment separately using the roll information required by that equipment. Keep the refill reference with the station so that a future order does not substitute a box merely because both products say X60.

For the dispenser-box route, designate the box position and replacement point. A case distributed among several work areas needs a receiving and issue record that preserves the SKU at each location. Avoid creating an unmarked pile of loose wipes as a substitute for an assigned supply point.

Compare the actual work pattern

Discuss how frequently operators leave their task to obtain material, who replaces an empty supply, and where the unopened stock waits. Those observations can support one shared station, several local boxes, or a mixed arrangement. The series name does not choose that layout for you.

Keep sheet size, supply format and station assignment together on the purchase record. Compare cleaning requirements separately; these descriptions do not provide a universal performance ranking or a quantified labor saving. Use the wiper buying guide to locate related supplies after the issue-point arrangement is decided.
