What it does
- Estimates a minimum internal carton size from item dimensions plus clearance.
- Adjusts clearance for low, medium, and high fragility items.
- Accounts for common protection methods: paper, bubble wrap, foam, and air pillows.
- Tests a specific carton size and estimates how many units fit.
- Suggests nearby common corrugated box sizes and a practical strength note.
- Flags oversized cartons where void space or dimensional weight may become a problem.
Good use cases
- Packaging guides that explain how to choose a shipping box.
- 3PL and fulfillment-center resources for ecommerce brands.
- Marketplace-seller guides on reducing shipping damage and oversized parcel cost.
- Warehouse SOP pages where operators need a quick first-pass carton check.
Terms
- Free for commercial and personal sites.
- Keep the "Calculator by Packrift" attribution visible. The widget includes it by default.
- No warranty. Results are estimates and should be confirmed with a physical test pack before ordering at volume.
- No signup, analytics script, or third-party JavaScript is required for the iframe.
Notes for site owners
- The iframe is responsive and fills the width of its container.
- Use a height of about 760px on desktop. If your page has a narrow content column, 860px gives the mobile stack more room.
- If your CMS blocks iframes, you can host the standalone HTML under your own domain with the same visible attribution.
