Length-Opening Triangle Tubes for Rolled Documents

MTM218 is a white corrugated triangle mailing tube listed at 18 1/4 inches and ECT-32-B. Its description explicitly says it opens along the length and uses locking tabs without tape or glue. The tubes ship flat in bundles of 50.
The listing does not state a usable triangular cross-section, a maximum rolled-document diameter or an unfolded panel width. The 18 1/4-inch figure should not be turned into any of those dimensions. This guide addresses access and handling, not a size approval for an unspecified print.
Separate the roll-preparation step from insertion
In a hypothetical print-packing process, the document is rolled and prepared according to its own handling requirements before it enters the package. Draw that prepared roll and the proposed placement through the length opening. Identify the end of the document and any accompanying sleeve or wrap that must remain in position.
An end-loading instruction may tell the operator to push the roll through a narrow opening. Do not carry that motion into the new instruction automatically. The documented length opening provides a different access route, which should be represented directly in the packing sequence.

If the receiver must preserve a particular document orientation, record it explicitly. A tube's profile does not tell the receiver which end of the rolled document should be handled first.
Approve the receiving motion as well as packing
Keep a record of the prepared roll, placement direction, closing arrangement and retrieval step. The useful outcome is a clear handling sequence tied to the documented length-opening construction. It does not establish protection for every print, repeated-use life or a carrier requirement.
