Edge protector wall thickness determines how much strapping tension the protector can absorb without crushing. Light strapping applications in the 200-400 lb break-strength range work with standard single-wall angle board. Heavy strapping with high tension and steel strap applications require thicker double-wall or multi-ply angle board to prevent crushing and strap-through.
