From Bagged Parts to a Shipping Box: A Fit Guide
A flat bag's printed size does not tell you the outside dimensions of a filled kit. Parts create thickness, and the chosen closure takes space. Choose the bag for the contents first, then measure the finished bagged arrangement before selecting an outer shipping box.
This guide connects those two purchasing decisions. It does not assume a bag provides cushioning, static protection or enough puncture resistance for a particular part. Establish those requirements separately for the contents you intend to ship.
Keep flat bag dimensions separate from box dimensions

The bag dimensions are two-dimensional measurements of the flat format. They are not a guaranteed usable opening for a thick object or a filled-package footprint. Neither listed flat bag is identified here as having a reclosable zipper. Confirm and test the closure method you plan to use.
Build and measure the completed kit
Place the intended parts in a candidate bag and close it using the chosen method. Include labels or folded material where they affect the shape. Check that the parts can be inserted and removed as needed without forcing the bag.
Next arrange the closed bags with any required separators, support and instructions. Decide which parts belong together and which need separation. Measure the maximum length, width and height of this whole arrangement. Do not multiply the bag's flat size by the number of bags to estimate a box.
Worked example: measure the arrangement, not the bag label
Suppose a physically tested multi-bag kit, including its selected support, measures 3½ × 3½ × 4 inches. SKU 445's 4 × 4 × 5 inch inside dimensions make it a candidate to trial. The nominal differences are ½, ½ and 1 inch across the three axes.
That example does not claim that either bag in the table produces those dimensions with every part. The measurements must come from the actual completed kit. If a revised kit measures 6 × 5 × 4 inches, it exceeds SKU 445's footprint in the stated orientation. SKU 1388 is a larger dimensional candidate, but its additional space means the packing method needs another review.
Check loading access, closure and movement with the real kit. A bagged part still has mass, edges and contact points. A dimensional fit alone does not establish safe transport.
Plan bag cases and box bundles independently
For a hypothetical 100 orders using two bags and one box each, the production requirement is 200 bags and 100 boxes. If PB465G100PK is the approved bag, two 100-count cases supply 200 bags. If PB390G is approved instead, one 1,000-count case leaves 800 bags beyond that production requirement.
For either box shown, four 25-count bundles supply 100 boxes. These counts exclude testing, reserve stock and waste. Bag sizes are not interchangeable merely because one selling unit matches the planned quantity more closely.
Buy against a documented kit
Keep the approved bag SKU, closure, box SKU, packing arrangement and consumption per order together. Retest when a part, accessory or closure changes. Review the poly bag size chart for bag measurement context and the box dimension comparison for outer-carton candidates.
Reorder the approved components by SKU, or request a mixed-product quote listing bags and boxes separately, with the individual quantity required for each.
