Work Gloves

Leather gloves provide excellent abrasion and puncture resistance for general warehouse and construction use where the primary hazard is surface abrasion and grip. Coated gloves offer higher grip performance in dry and wet conditions with better dexterity than leather. Cut-resistant gloves are specifically engineered to prevent lacerations from blades, sharp metal, and glass where standard gloves would not prevent injury.

ANSI cut levels A1 through A9 describe the amount of force in grams required to cut through the glove material on a standardized blade contact test. Light cut hazards like cardboard and light metal edges typically call for A2 or A3 rated gloves. Severe cut hazards including metal stamping, glass handling, and blade work require A4 through A7 or higher depending on the specific tool and material.

Gloves that are too large bunch and fold during gripping, reducing grip quality and creating fatigue. Gloves that are too small restrict circulation, cause hand fatigue quickly, and are more likely to tear at the seams. Proper fit across the knuckles and at the fingertip length is the most important comfort factor for gloves worn for extended periods during a shift.
