Anti-Static Bags

Pink anti-static bags prevent triboelectric charge from building up on the bag surface, but they do not shield the contents from external electric fields. Static shielding bags with a metalized layer provide both surface anti-static properties and protection from external charge sources, making them the more comprehensive solution for high-sensitivity components.

For long-term storage or ocean freight shipments, electronic components face significant humidity exposure risk that can cause corrosion and oxidation. Moisture barrier bags with low water vapor transmission rates, combined with a desiccant pack, maintain safe humidity levels inside the bag throughout extended storage and transit periods.

ESD sensitivity classes are defined by the voltage threshold at which a device can be damaged. Class 0 devices are damaged by exposures below 250 volts and require the most rigorous protection including full shielding bags and grounded work surfaces. Less sensitive Class 3 devices may only require basic anti-static handling precautions without full shielding.
