Common questions
What is the ECT rating and why does it matter for my shipping operation?
ECT-32-B indicates edge crush test strength of 32 ECT, proven to protect lightweight to medium-weight items during transport and handling. This rating ensures adequate crush resistance for small parcels while maintaining cost efficiency compared to heavier board grades, directly lowering per-unit packaging expenses.
Can these mailers be used for fragile items, and do they require additional void fill?
Yes. The double-wall kraft construction provides inherent crush protection. For delicate items like glassware, pair with kraft paper, foam sheets, or bubble wrap for optimal protection. The fold-and-tuck design allows easy insertion of protective materials without additional assembly steps.
How much warehouse space and freight cost do I save by using flat-shipping mailers?
Flat-shipping design reduces storage footprint by up to 80% versus pre-assembled boxes and lowers freight dimensional weight significantly. A bundle of 50 mailers ships in a compact flat case, enabling higher carton density per pallet and reducing per-unit logistics costs on high-volume orders.
Are these mailers eco-friendly and suitable for sustainability-conscious customers?
Yes. These kraft corrugated mailers are 100% recyclable and made from renewable kraft paper, meeting sustainability requirements for environmentally-conscious B2B and e-commerce brands. No plastic tape or non-recyclable components required for assembly.
