Common questions
How long do Ice-Brix® Cold Packs maintain freezing temperatures?
Ice-Brix® packs consistently maintain cold temperatures for 48-72+ hours depending on ambient conditions, insulation quality, and pack density, significantly longer than traditional ice while eliminating leakage.
Are these packs food-safe and compliant with shipping regulations?
Yes. Ice-Brix® Cold Packs are formulated with food-safe, non-toxic gel refrigerant approved for direct contact with food products. They comply with FDA regulations and all major shipping carrier cold chain requirements including USPS, UPS, and FedEx standards.
Can we reuse these packs across multiple shipments?
Absolutely. The leak-proof, durable construction supports hundreds of reuse cycles after simple freezing, making them highly cost-efficient for operations with recurring cold shipment needs and reducing per-shipment refrigeration costs.
What size insulated shipper works best with 6 x 5 3/4 x 1 inch packs?
These packs are optimally sized for small to medium insulated boxes (8-12 liter capacity). The compact 1-inch thickness allows flexible placement on box floors or sides without consuming excessive internal space, maximizing product capacity while maintaining temperature control.
