Lids and footprints
A lid drops over the outside of the container, so it runs about half an inch larger than the footprint: 36.5 x 36.5 for a 36 x 36 gaylord, 40.5 x 30.5 for 40 x 30, 40.5 x 40.5 for 40 x 40, 48.5 x 24.5 for 48 x 24. Lids are 4 or 5 inches deep, ship flat and assemble with tape, glue or staples. ECT-48 double wall lids are the heavy duty option. Lids are sold on their own, so they also fit gaylords you already have.
