Common questions
What is ECT-44 corrugated material and why does it matter for Gaylord lids?
ECT-44 (Edge Crush Test 44 lbs/inch) single-wall corrugated kraft is a heavy-duty material that resists crushing, puncturing, and moisture during stacking and transport. This specification ensures your Gaylord containers maintain structural integrity under maximum load conditions, protecting contents and meeting ISTA shipping standards.
Can these lids be used with other Gaylord container sizes?
These lids are specifically designed for the GL403030TW Gaylord container. Using them with other container dimensions may compromise fit, stability, and load protection. Verify container specifications before ordering to ensure compatibility.
What assembly method works best for these flat-shipped lids?
Heavy-duty kraft gummed tape, industrial-strength adhesive, or pneumatic staplers all work effectively. For high-volume operations, automated taping systems offer fastest assembly with consistent, secure seams. Pre-scored fold lines ensure proper closure alignment.
How many pallets can I stack with these Gaylord lid containers?
Safe stacking height depends on lid material strength (ECT-44), pallet configuration, warehouse ceiling height, and load weight. Typically, 4-6 Gaylords can be stacked safely. Consult your warehouse management guidelines and conduct load testing to confirm safe stacking limits for your specific operation.
