Bubble mailers by material, listed size, and case quantity

Choose a bubble mailer by starting with the item as it will be packed. Compare its shape and thickness with the mailer's listed dimensions, then select the outer material and case quantity. Poly bubble mailers and kraft bubble mailers both include cushioning, but their construction and individual specifications should guide your choice.

The product examples below cover white poly and kraft options with self-seal closures. Their dimensions are the sizes stated in the listings. Treat them as a starting point for comparison; they are not a guarantee of usable interior space for a three-dimensional item.

Compare selected padded mailers

Keep the SKU attached to the size when comparing products. A mailer number such as #1 is a product reference, not a substitute for checking its measurements and construction. The rows also have different case quantities, so one case of each does not supply the same number of mailers.

Check the complete packed item

Measure the item after adding any sleeve, retail packaging, protective insert, or other material that will go inside the mailer. Include protruding parts. Thickness matters because the mailer has to open around the item and still leave enough room to close along its intended seal.

Compare both listed dimensions instead of looking only at the longer side. Before committing to a repeated packing process, check a physical sample with the actual item. Confirm that the item can be inserted and removed as intended, that the seal closes correctly, and that the finished package suits the way it will be handled.

Products with sharp corners, an irregular shape, or a requirement to keep their shape may call for a different outer package. Compare corrugated boxes when evaluating that packing format. Keep mailer types distinct

A poly bubble mailer combines a poly outer material with bubble cushioning. A kraft bubble mailer uses kraft outer material with a bubble lining. An all-paper cushioning mailer is a separate construction; the word “kraft” alone does not establish what the cushioning inside is made from.

Work out your case quantity

Choose the SKU first, then divide the number of mailers needed by its stated case quantity and round up to complete cases. For example, a requirement of 300 mailers means two cases of B827 or three cases of B854SS. Those plans supply 400 and 300 mailers respectively.

This is quantity planning only. It does not make the two sizes or constructions substitutes for one another. For a mixed order, list each SKU and its required case quantity separately so the selected mailer remains tied to the products you pack.
