Common questions
How long do these cold bricks maintain temperature?
Re-Freez-R-Brix® Cold Bricks maintain uniform chilling temperatures for over 12 days when properly frozen and used in insulated containers, providing extended protection for multi-day pharmaceutical and biological shipments.
Are these cold bricks compliant with FDA and shipping regulations?
Yes. These bricks are formulated with food-safe, non-toxic materials and meet pharmaceutical cold chain compliance requirements for blood products, lab samples, and regulated biological materials across domestic and international shipments.
What's the best way to freeze and reuse these bricks?
Freeze bricks flat in a standard freezer at 0°F or below for 24 hours before use. They are reusable and can be refrozen multiple times, making them a cost-efficient solution for recurring cold chain shipments.
How many bricks do I need per shipment?
Brick quantity depends on your insulated container size, ambient temperature, and required chill duration. Most pharmaceutical shippers use 2-4 bricks per standard mailer box; consult our packaging specialists for custom configurations.
