Common questions
How long do these cold bricks maintain temperature?
Re-Freez-R-Brix® Cold Bricks maintain uniform cooling for over 12 days, protecting perishables from thawing and temperature fluctuations during long-distance shipments. Actual duration depends on ambient conditions and insulation quality of your shipper box.
Are these cold bricks food-safe and non-toxic?
Yes. These foam refrigerant bricks are formulated with food-safe, non-toxic materials and sealed in heavy-duty plastic pouches, making them suitable for pharmaceutical, food, and biological product shipments without contamination risk.
What makes the 3/4" thickness beneficial?
The compact 3/4" profile maximizes usable space in insulated shippers while maintaining consistent temperature control. This efficiency reduces overall package dimensions and weight, lowering shipping costs without sacrificing cold chain protection.
Can I use these bricks for multiple shipments?
Yes, Re-Freez-R-Brix® Cold Bricks are reusable. After each shipment, simply re-freeze them according to product instructions. This reusability makes them cost-effective for high-volume shippers managing recurring cold chain logistics.
