Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it right for my shipping needs?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of pressure per linear inch before crushing. This standard-strength rating works for most mid-weight products under 20 lbs; heavier items may require ECT-40 or ECT-44 boxes. Verify your product weight against stacking requirements before ordering.
How many boxes can I stack with ECT-32 corrugated material?
ECT-32 typically allows 4-6 boxes stacked safely under typical warehouse conditions (depending on box contents and weight distribution). For high-stacking operations or heavy items, test your specific load or upgrade to higher ECT ratings for maximum freight efficiency.
Are these boxes suitable for cold storage or outdoor use?
Kraft corrugated is optimized for standard temperature environments. Extended exposure to moisture, freezing conditions, or outdoor storage may compromise structural integrity. For cold chain or outdoor applications, request coated or specialized water-resistant options.
How do bulk orders of this box affect my per-unit shipping costs?
Purchasing in bundles of 25 reduces per-box costs and improves freight efficiency. Order in pallet quantities (typically 40-50 bundles per pallet) to qualify for higher volume discounts and lower dimensional weight charges on freight.
