Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it strong enough for my shipments?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) measures the corrugated's vertical stacking strength at 32 lbs per linear inch. This single-wall rating handles standard freight conditions, palletized shipments, and typical warehouse stacking heights. For heavier products or multiple-layer stacking, confirm your weight distribution or consider ECT-44 alternatives.
Why choose a long, narrow box instead of a standard square carton?
Long boxes reduce dimensional weight charges by up to 30% for elongated items, eliminating wasted air space in your shipment. They also pack faster due to the long-side opening, accelerating fulfillment and reducing labor per unit. Use for items like wine bottles, fishing rods, or umbrellas that don't fit efficiently in standard cubes.
How many boxes fit on a pallet when shipped flat?
Flat bundles of 25 are highly stackable, allowing 40+ bundles per standard pallet (1,000+ boxes total). This maximizes inbound freight efficiency and minimizes warehouse footprint for inventory storage.
Are these boxes compatible with automatic packing equipment?
Yes. The long-side opening and consistent ECT-32 construction make these boxes compatible with most semi-automated and manual packing lines. Confirm your equipment specifications with the manufacturer if using high-speed systems.
