Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it strong enough for my shipments?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) -32 indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch before crushing. Single-wall ECT-32 is the industry standard for general merchandise, light industrial goods, and most e-commerce applications. For heavier items or multi-box stacking beyond 5+ levels, consider ECT-44 or double-wall options.
How many boxes fit on a standard pallet, and what's the freight advantage?
These 20 x 12 x 8" boxes efficiently pack approximately 80 - 100 bundles per standard 48 x 40" pallet, reducing dimensional weight surcharges on LTL freight. The modest height minimizes wasted vertical space while maximizing shipment density, directly lowering per-unit freight costs for high-volume shippers.
Are these boxes suitable for food or temperature-sensitive products?
Yes, kraft corrugated is food-safe for non-perishable goods (dry goods, packaged items, etc.). For temperature-sensitive or frozen products, pair these boxes with appropriate internal insulation or upgrade to insulated corrugated options.
Can I customize or print branding on these boxes?
Packrift offers custom printing and branding on bulk orders. Contact your account manager for minimum order quantities (MOQs), design specifications, and lead times for printed versions of SKU 20128.
