Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and will it handle my shipment weight?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch before crushing. This single-wall construction is rated for products typically weighing 10-25 lbs depending on contents density and stacking height. For heavier items or multi-layer stacking, consider ECT-44 alternatives.
How many boxes can I stack safely in my warehouse?
ECT-32 kraft boxes support safe stacking of 4-6 layers when fully loaded, depending on product weight and moisture conditions. Always follow ISTA stacking guidelines and account for warehouse climate to maximize performance. Avoid stacking near heat sources or high-humidity areas.
Are these boxes suitable for food products or do they require FDA approval?
These standard kraft corrugated boxes are not certified food-grade. For food applications, request specifically FDA-compliant or food-contact certified alternatives. Standard kraft boxes work well for non-food industrial, retail, and e-commerce applications.
What's the cost-per-box when ordering bundles versus carton quantities?
Bundles of 15 offer lower per-unit pricing than smaller quantities. Volume discounts increase at pallet quantities (typically 60-90 boxes). Request a volume quote for orders exceeding 500 boxes to unlock freight and bulk pricing optimization.
