Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and how does it compare to other ratings?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test of 32 lbf) is a standard industrial rating suitable for single-wall boxes handling general merchandise and medium-weight items. It provides reliable stacking strength for typical warehouse conditions and freight handling. For heavier or premium applications, consider ECT-40 or ECT-48 alternatives.
How many units fit on a standard pallet with this box size?
The 28 x 16 x 12" dimensions are engineered for optimal pallet utilization, typically accommodating 45-50 assembled boxes per pallet layer depending on stacking height and load configuration. This efficiency reduces freight spend and improves warehouse space utilization.
Are these boxes suitable for food and beverage products?
Yes, ECT-32 kraft corrugated boxes are food-safe and commonly used for non-perishable food, beverage, and consumer goods. For perishable items, verify compliance with your specific FDA or food safety requirements and consider adding void fill or insulation as needed.
Can we print our branding on these boxes?
Absolutely. Kraft corrugated material accepts flexographic and digital printing excellently. Contact our sales team with your artwork and volume requirements for custom printing quotes and turnaround times.
