Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and why does it matter for my shipping needs?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) measures corrugated strength, ECT-32 means the carton can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch. This rating ensures reliable stacking performance in warehouses and during multi-stop freight transport, reducing damage claims and product loss.
How many of these boxes fit on a standard pallet, and what freight savings should I expect?
The 32" length and compact 12" x 12" cross-section enable efficient vertical and horizontal stacking. Compared to standard cubes, long boxes reduce cubic weight penalties and dimensional surcharges on LTL and parcel carriers, typically lowering per-box shipping costs by 15-25%.
Are these boxes suitable for heavy items, or just lightweight products?
ECT-32 kraft construction supports moderate-weight items up to approximately 40-50 lbs per box, depending on contents and stacking conditions. For heavier linear items, consult Packrift for ECT-44 or ECT-48 upgrade options.
Can I print my company logo and branding on these cartons?
Yes. The kraft corrugated surface accepts digital, flexographic, and offset printing for custom branding, promotional messaging, and compliance labeling. Contact Packrift's sales team for custom print specifications and minimum order requirements.
