Common questions
What is the ECT rating and what does it mean for my operation?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test 32 lb/in) indicates the corrugated material can withstand 32 pounds of crushing force per linear inch. This rating is ideal for single-wall applications with light-to-moderate stacking, typical 3-tier warehouse stacks, and standard LTL/parcel shipping. For heavier loads or extended storage, consider ECT-44 or double-wall alternatives.
How many items can I stack safely in a warehouse environment?
ECT-32 single-wall boxes typically support 3-4 unit stacks under standard warehouse conditions (controlled humidity, reasonable handling). Actual stacking performance depends on box fill weight, contents density, and storage duration. For high-cube stacking or loads exceeding 40 lbs per box, consult ECT-44 or double-wall options.
Will this box size reduce my freight costs?
Yes. The 36 x 24 x 20" dimensions optimize pallet utilization (typically 8-10 boxes per standard pallet layer), reducing per-unit freight expense compared to smaller box sizes. ECT-32 single-wall construction also lowers material costs versus premium grades, improving your overall packaging cost per shipment.
Are these boxes recyclable and do they support sustainability claims?
Yes. These kraft corrugated boxes are 100% recyclable and commonly accepted by curbside and commercial recycling programs. The natural kraft material contains post-consumer recycled content and supports ESG commitments, making them an eco-friendly choice for brands marketing sustainability to conscious buyers.
