Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it strong enough for my shipments?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates 32 pounds of crush resistance per linear inch of box edge. This single-wall corrugated is ideal for mid-weight items like wine, textiles, and rolled goods. For heavier loads exceeding 50 lbs, upgrade to ECT-48 double-wall.
How much space do flat-packed bundles take up in my warehouse?
Flat-packed bundles are 40" x 10" x 10" per set of 15 boxes, requiring minimal pallet space compared to pre-assembled cartons. This reduces your incoming inventory footprint and shipping costs, critical for high-volume operations.
Can I use these boxes for stacking in a pallet load?
Yes. ECT-32 kraft supports stacking when properly loaded. However, due to the 40" length, stack height should be calculated based on total carton weight per tier. Consult our stacking capacity calculator for your specific product weight.
What items work best in a 40 x 10 x 10 box?
This size is optimized for long, narrow products: wine bottles (standard 12-pack configurations), umbrellas, carpet samples, rolled textiles, tubing, and rolled posters. The wide-opening design minimizes packing labor compared to standard square cartons.
