Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and why does it matter?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates the corrugated material can withstand 32 lbs of crushing force per lineal inch. This rating ensures reliable stacking performance in warehouse environments and protects contents during multi-tier storage and transit handling.
How does the long-side opening improve packing efficiency?
The wide opening along the 44-inch length allows faster product insertion and removal, reducing pack time per carton by 20-30%. This design minimizes handling errors and labor costs while maintaining structural integrity for long, narrow items.
Will these boxes reduce my freight costs?
Yes. The narrow 12" x 12" footprint minimizes dimensional weight charges on parcel and LTL shipments. Compared to standard boxes, these long cartons can reduce DIM weight penalties by 15-25% when shipping elongated products.
Can I stack these boxes in my warehouse safely?
Absolutely. ECT-32 kraft corrugated supports reliable stacking to 4-5 layers depending on product weight and environmental conditions. We recommend testing stack heights with your specific cargo to optimize warehouse density and safety.
