Common questions
What is the ECT rating, and why does it matter for my operation?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test 32 lbs/in) indicates the box can handle 32 pounds of crush force per linear inch of edge. This ensures safe stacking in warehouses and on pallets, protecting your products during storage and transit while minimizing damage claims and rework.
Can I use 4 x 4 x 32" boxes instead of mailing tubes?
Yes. These tall boxes offer comparable length to standard mailing tubes (typically 28 - 32" long) with stacking strength and lower material cost. They're ideal for rolling posters, artwork, or documents, and they palletize better than tubes, improving freight efficiency.
How much freight cost can I save with this tall, narrow profile?
The 4 x 4" footprint maximizes cubic utilization in standard trailers and containers. Compared to wider, shorter boxes, you'll fit 20 - 30% more units per pallet and reduce freight cost per unit by 15 - 25%, depending on your shipping zones and carrier rates.
How many boxes fit on a standard pallet, and what's the stacking height?
A typical pallet load is 80 - 100 boxes per layer (48" x 40" pallet) at roughly 8 - 10 layers high, yielding 640 - 1,000 boxes per pallet. Stack height reaches approximately 32 feet when fully loaded, optimizing warehouse vertical space and reducing overall logistics costs.
