Common questions
What is the ECT-32 rating and why does it matter for my operation?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates this single-wall corrugated withstands 32 lbs of crushing force per linear inch. For B2B shippers, this rating supports safe stacking in warehouse conditions and handles typical freight handling without crushing, balancing durability with cost efficiency.
Can these 4x4x36 boxes replace mailing tubes?
Yes. The tall, narrow format and sturdy ECT-32 kraft construction provide equivalent protection to standard mailing tubes while offering better printability for branding and lower per-unit costs at volume.
How much void fill do I need for long items in a 4x4x36 box?
The vertical 36" dimension is designed to fit elongated products (rods, poles, shelving) with minimal excess length, reducing void fill material by 40 - 60% compared to standard cube boxes, directly lowering packaging spend per shipment.
What is the dimensional weight impact for LTL and parcel shipping?
At 4x4x36", each box calculates at 2 lbs dimensional weight on most parcel carriers (using DIM factor 166). Bundles of 25 flat-packed boxes reduce inbound DIM charges significantly versus individual box shipments, improving your total cost of ownership.
