Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it strong enough for my shipments?
ECT-32 indicates 32 pounds per inch of edge crush test strength, the industry standard for single-wall corrugated used in standard-weight shipping. It's suitable for non-fragile items and single-layer stacking up to 4-5 boxes high. For heavier or stacked loads, consider ECT-44 or double-wall alternatives.
How many of these boxes fit on a standard pallet, and what's the freight advantage?
Approximately 80-100 flat-packed bundles fit on a 48x40" pallet (depending on your stacking height). The 50" length is optimized for minimal wasted space on pallets when shipping long items, reducing dimensional weight charges and overall freight expense per unit shipped.
Can I use these boxes for heavier items or vertical stacking?
ECT-32 single-wall is rated for light-to-medium items (typically under 30 lbs per box) and horizontal stacking or single-layer vertical storage. For heavier products or multi-layer stacking environments, upgrade to our ECT-44 single-wall or double-wall corrugated options.
Are these kraft boxes printable for branded packaging?
Yes, kraft corrugated accepts flexographic and offset printing for logos, shipping labels, and product branding. Contact our design team for print specifications, minimum order quantities, and turnaround times for custom artwork.
