Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and why does it matter?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) measures corrugated strength. ECT-32 provides 32 lbs/inch of crush resistance, ideal for standard shipping and 2-3 box stacking in typical warehouse environments. This rating balances protection and cost for mid-weight SKUs.
How many of these boxes fit on a standard pallet?
When nested flat, approximately 150-180 bundles (1,500-1,800 individual boxes) fit on a 48x40" pallet, depending on final stack height. This maximizes freight efficiency and reduces cost-per-unit for bulk orders.
Can I use these for heavier items or stacking?
ECT-32 supports standard stacking (2-3 boxes high) for typical product weights up to 30-40 lbs per box. For heavier or taller stack requirements, consider ECT-44 or ECT-48 alternatives.
What makes the long-side opening beneficial for our operation?
The lengthwise opening eliminates standard top-flap folding, reducing pack time by 15-25% per box and cutting labor costs significantly in high-volume fulfillment. It's ideal for linear products that feed naturally into the box opening.
