Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it strong enough for my application?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test 32 lbs/inch) is single-wall corrugated rated for mid-weight shipments and moderate stacking. It's ideal for items under 50 lbs and replaces mailing tubes cost-effectively while providing crush protection.
How many boxes fit on a pallet, and what's the freight savings versus individual packaging?
Each bundle of 15 flat boxes occupies minimal pallet space (approximately 2.5 cu ft when nested). Bulk bundling reduces dimensional weight charges by up to 40% compared to individually boxed or tube-packaged items.
Can I use these boxes for stacking in a warehouse, or are they end-load only?
While optimized for end-loading and vertical shipping, ECT-32 boxes support moderate stacking when properly loaded. Stack height depends on item weight; consult our stacking guide for specific weight limits.
Are these boxes a true replacement for mailing tubes?
Yes. The 6 x 6 x 62" footprint and ECT-32 kraft construction provide equivalent protection to standard mailing tubes at lower cost, with the added benefit of easy end-loading, recyclability, and better freight efficiency.
