Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and why does it matter?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) rating of 32 indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch along its edges before crushing. For B2B shipping, this rating ensures safe stacking in warehouse environments and on pallets, protecting contents during transit and storage.
Can these boxes replace mailing tubes?
Yes. The 7 x 7 x 12" tall format with ECT-32 strength makes an excellent alternative to standard mailing tubes for items like fishing rods, dowels, and poster tubes, often at lower cost and with better compression strength.
How many boxes fit on a standard pallet?
When assembled, approximately 150-200 boxes stack efficiently on a 48" x 40" pallet depending on final stacking height and your pallet configuration. Consult our freight optimization guide or contact sales for custom load planning.
Are these single-wall boxes strong enough for heavy items?
ECT-32 single-wall is rated for items up to approximately 25-30 lbs per box depending on content density and stacking load. For heavier items or multi-wall strength, consider ECT-44 double-wall alternatives. Contact our team for application-specific recommendations.
