Common questions
What is ECT-32 and why does it matter for my shipping operations?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) rating measures a box's crushing strength under stacking conditions. ECT-32 provides 32 lbs/inch of edge crush resistance, ideal for standard single-layer palletized shipments and typical warehouse handling. It balances protection with cost, overspecifying strength increases per-unit costs without proportional value.
How many items can I safely stack these boxes?
ECT-32 single-wall boxes typically support 3-4 boxes high in standard warehouse conditions. Actual stacking height depends on internal product weight, humidity, and storage duration. For specific load calculations, consult with our packaging specialists.
Can I purchase larger quantities and receive volume pricing?
Yes. Packrift offers tiered volume discounts for case and pallet quantities. Contact our B2B team for custom quotes on orders of 500+ bundles or multi-skew pallets to maximize freight efficiency.
Are these boxes suitable for long-term storage or outdoor use?
These kraft corrugated boxes are designed for standard indoor warehouse environments (40-60% relative humidity, 60-75°F). For long-term outdoor storage or high-humidity conditions, upgrade to a double-wall ECT-44+ box or consider moisture-resistant coatings.
