Common questions
Is this box UN-certified for all hazardous materials?
Yes. These boxes carry UN 4G certification (4G/Y19.7/S for Type RC and 4G/Y19.8/S for Type TE) and comply with CFR 49 178.601B. However, the shipper remains responsible for verifying correct packaging selection for their specific product per DOT/IATA regulations. Consult appropriate regulations or your compliance team before final closure.
How many boxes fit per pallet?
Flat cartons stack efficiently, typically 60 - 80 bundles (1,200 - 1,600 boxes) per pallet depending on your warehouse racking system. The flat-ship design saves 70 - 80% storage space versus pre-assembled inventory, allowing higher stock turns and lower carrying costs.
Can I use these for non-hazmat shipping?
While these boxes are engineered and certified specifically for hazardous materials, their ECT-44 strength makes them suitable for heavy general cargo (paint cans, heavy liquids, etc.). Check your product's shipping classification to confirm compliance requirements.
What's the stacking strength of ECT-44?
ECT-44 (Edge Crush Test of 44 lbs/inch) delivers approximately 32 lbs/sq inch of burst strength. This supports multi-tier pallet stacking under standard warehouse conditions. Actual stack height depends on product weight, humidity, and time in storage, test with your specific load before deployment.
