Common questions
Will Scotch® 373 adhere to our high-recycled-content cartons without pre-treatment?
Yes. The synthetic rubber adhesive is specifically formulated to adhere instantly to cartons with high levels of recycled content, eliminating tape-slip issues common with standard tape and reducing rework on your packing line.
Is this tape compatible with our automatic tape dispensers?
Scotch® 373's high edge tear and split resistance makes it ideal for automated dispensers. The 2.5 mil thickness and strong polypropylene backing reduce jamming, ensuring consistent dispenser performance throughout the case.
How does this compare to cheaper alternatives in terms of line efficiency?
While Scotch® 373 costs more per roll, its instant adhesion, high tear resistance, and dispenser compatibility reduce line stoppages, rework, and tape waste. Most packing supervisors see lower total cost-per-sealed-case despite higher material cost.
Will moisture and humidity affect adhesion during storage or shipping?
No. The 2.5 mil polypropylene backing and synthetic rubber adhesive are formulated to resist moisture and abrasion, maintaining consistent performance in cold storage, humid warehouses, and during transport, critical for packing line reliability.
