Common questions
Is this tape compatible with my existing case sealing dispenser?
Yes, the 1" reverse-wound core is designed for standard tape dispensers. Verify compatibility with C3100 Series dispensers recommended for 3M 976 tape. Check your dispenser specifications or contact our technical team for confirmation with alternative systems.
How does 3M 976 perform on glossy-coated packaging materials?
3M 976 is specifically formulated for glossy surfaces. Its soft acrylic adhesive provides excellent initial tack and sustained hold without requiring aggressive adhesives that can damage coatings or leave visible residue on premium packaging.
What's the holding power and shelf life of this adhesive transfer tape?
The pressure-sensitive acrylic provides reliable, long-lasting adhesion across most plastics and coated materials with high initial tack. For specific hold-time data and shelf-life guidelines, consult the product data sheet available in our resources section.
Can I use 1/4" width for both narrow and wider sealing applications?
The 1/4" width is ideal for narrow edge bonding, sample attachment, and precision sealing. For wider case sealing, consider larger widths in the 3M 976 line. Review our tape width selector or contact our packaging specialist for application-specific recommendations.
