Common questions
Will this tape work with my existing dispenser equipment?
Yes. The 3M 764 features a standard 3-inch core that fits most industrial tape dispensers, including handheld and tabletop models commonly used in packing line environments. Check your dispenser specifications to confirm core size compatibility before ordering.
How does the rubber adhesive perform on cardboard boxes at high application speeds?
The contact-activated rubber adhesive bonds instantly to cardboard, corrugated surfaces, and most industrial materials without requiring pressure-sensitive seating time. This enables continuous high-speed sealing without production delays or tape slippage during case handling.
Can this tape withstand moisture and chemical exposure in cold storage or wet packing environments?
Absolutely. The 5.0 mil vinyl backing is specifically formulated to resist moisture, weathering, acids, and alkaline chemicals. It maintains seal integrity and color visibility in cold storage, wet dock areas, and facilities using sanitizing solutions.
How many cases do I need per month for a typical packing line?
Usage depends on case size, sealing pattern, and throughput. A single case of 24 rolls (864 yards total) typically covers 150-250 cases when using standard 2-inch seals. We recommend auditing your monthly tape spend and adjusting case quantities based on production volume to ensure optimal inventory and bulk pricing benefits.
