Common questions
Will these hook dots work with loop tape or do I need separate loop components?
These are hook dots only, you must pair them with corresponding VELCRO Brand loop dots or loop tape (sold separately). The hook and loop components work together as a fastening system; neither functions alone. Check your dispenser compatibility requirements to ensure proper loop material selection.
How many applications can I expect per dot, and will adhesion hold through a full packing shift?
Each dot supports 500+ attach-reattach cycles under normal conditions. For case sealing applications, adhesion remains consistent throughout your shift if dots are pressed firmly (3-5 seconds contact pressure). Avoid wet or heavily oiled surfaces to maintain bond integrity and reduce premature failure.
Can these dots be used on corrugated core materials, and do they work with automated dispensers?
Yes, 3/4" hook dots adhere reliably to clean, dry corrugated surfaces and cardboard cores. For automated dispenser integration, verify your dispenser's dot-feed specifications, some systems require specific adhesive patterns or dot spacing. Contact Packrift's technical team for dispenser compatibility confirmation before bulk ordering.
What's the difference between individual dots and tape rolls for my packing line?
Individual dots offer precision placement and reduce waste on high-speed lines where exact positioning matters. Tape rolls work better for continuous fastening or edge sealing. For case-by-case product attachment and core compatibility, individual dots minimize material costs and speed operator placement versus cutting tape lengths.
