Common questions
Will this tape work on curved carton surfaces and irregular case edges?
Yes. The 120-mil acrylic foam core is highly conformable and bonds instantly to curved and irregular surfaces without gaps, making it ideal for non-flat packing line applications where traditional mechanical fasteners fail.
How does this tape perform in cold warehouse environments?
3M™ 4959 VHB™ tape maintains full adhesive strength from -40°F to 300°F, ensuring reliable case sealing in freezer units, ambient warehouses, and heated production areas without performance degradation.
Can this replace liquid adhesives and welding on my packing line?
Yes. VHB™ tape provides permanent, non-removable bonding strength that replaces rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, and liquid adhesives while reducing application time and eliminating fumes or curing delays on your production line.
Is the tape resistant to moisture and solvents used in packaging environments?
Yes. The dual acrylic adhesive and acrylic foam core are moisture, solvent, and UV resistant, protecting case seal integrity even in humid environments or when exposed to cleaning agents and environmental conditions.
