Overview

Cardboard boxes here means kraft corrugated cartons for shipping and storage in single, double, and triple wall grades, sold in bundles and bulk cases. The collection also carries the paperboard formats that get grouped under "cardboard" in real warehouses: 24pt fibreboard folding cartons, rigid chipboard stayflats mailers, and spiral-wound fibreboard mailing tubes. If you are sizing cartons for a specific load, what size box for dishes walks through the working method: measure the packed contents, add cushioning room, and match a stock size.

What this collection covers

How to choose

Decision How to make it
Wall grade Single wall handles routine parcels. Step up to double or triple wall for heavy, dense, or palletized loads, not because a product feels valuable.
Corrugated vs. paperboard Corrugated takes stacking and carrier handling. Fibreboard cartons and chipboard mailers protect shape and surface but are not outer shipping boxes for heavy items.
Fixed vs. multi-depth If your products vary in height, multi-depth cartons cut the number of box SKUs you keep on the shelf and reduce the void fill each order needs.
Size Measure the packed product, add room for cushioning, and stop. Oversized boxes cost you twice: more void fill and more billable cube. The box size finder and box quantity guide do the arithmetic.

Freight is part of the price

Boxes are light but bulky, so freight is priced on the space they take, and on a small order it can rival what the boxes themselves cost. Most suppliers let you discover that at checkout; we would rather you plan for it. Order in bundle and case quantities so freight spreads across more units, and combine boxes with tape and void fill in one shipment. The underlying numbers are in the packaging cost and cube index.
