SELECTION EXPERT ADVICE
Overview
Choose shipping labels for the printer, surface and shipment workflow you use. Start with the printing method and required size, then check feed format, color, core or stack arrangement and the physical labels supplied. Use the product grid for the broader assortment and the selected examples below for a specification-first comparison.
| SKU | Print method / color | Feed / core | Supplied quantity |
|---|---|---|---|
| THL577 | Direct thermal; yellow | Fanfold | 2 stacks × 2,000 = 4,000 labels/case |
| THL130BE | Thermal transfer; light blue | Rolls; 3-inch core | 4 rolls/case; labels per roll to confirm |
| THL156 | Direct thermal; white; topcoated | Feed and core to confirm | Listed 4/case; unit and total labels to confirm |
Separate label count from rolls and cases
THL577 supplies 4,000 yellow direct-thermal fanfold labels per case. A requirement for 10,000 suitable labels needs three cases, supplying 12,000. Confirm that your printer accepts this fanfold format and color before using that purchase plan.
THL130BE is light-blue thermal-transfer media on three-inch cores, supplied four rolls per case. Confirm labels per roll and the required ribbon. THL156 is white topcoated direct-thermal media, but its listed four-per-case unit and total label count require clarification. A case count alone does not establish cost per label.
Check the printer and packed shipment
Direct thermal uses heat-sensitive media without a ribbon; thermal transfer uses compatible media and ribbon. Confirm the method in the exact printer manual. Roll or fanfold is a separate feed choice. For rolls, check core size and outside diameter; for fanfold, check the external feed and sensing requirements.
Print and apply a representative label on the actual package. Check alignment, readable text, barcode scanning and attachment using your intended setup. Keep required adhesive, exposure, color or service-life specifications explicit instead of inferring them from a printing method.
A shipping label identifies a package. A packing-list envelope holds its paperwork; it is a different buying requirement. Use the document-envelope route when the shipment needs attached paperwork.
Request a quote with exact SKU, printer model, method, feed, physical labels needed, whole cases where established, destination ZIP and timing. Compare the delivered total for the accepted format and confirmed label count, including any required ribbon.
Questions before ordering
Can a four-roll case be priced per label?
Confirm labels per roll first, then multiply by rolls supplied. Do not infer the missing label count from size or a related SKU.
Are white rolls and yellow fanfold labels interchangeable?
They differ in color and supply format. Confirm the application and printer requirements before changing either.
Should I select from the shipping-label assortment alone?
Use the exact product specification and printer manual. The collection is a browsing route, not a compatibility certification.
