Compare Uline 4 × 6 label formats before switching

A 4 × 6 inch label is a size, not a complete printer specification. Start with the Uline model you reorder, the exact printer model and the way its media feeds. Direct thermal rolls, direct thermal fanfold stock and thermal transfer rolls can share the printed dimensions while requiring different equipment and order counts.

For example, Uline S-6802 desktop direct thermal labels specify a 1-inch core, 4-inch roll diameter, 250 labels per roll and 12 rolls per case. That is 3,000 labels per case. Uline S-8376 fanfold direct thermal labels specify 4,000 labels per box, supplied in two stacks. These counts and feed formats describe those Uline products; they do not describe a Packrift case or establish printer compatibility.

Two Packrift printing methods to evaluate

These are different purchasing choices. The yellow thermal transfer listing is not the same stock as the white direct thermal listing. Follow the exact product links for current order details, then have the quote state the labels per roll, rolls per case and total label count together. A case descriptor alone is not enough to compare the number of shipments supplied.

Match the printer and the complete media format

Direct thermal media uses the printer’s heat to produce the image without a ribbon. Thermal transfer media uses a ribbon. Confirm that your printer supports the selected method and that the media and ribbon meet its specifications. A general printer-brand mention does not establish fit for every model, core size, roll diameter or feed path.

Compare a shipment quantity, then the delivered total

A requirement of 6,000 labels takes two cases of the referenced 3,000-count Uline roll format. Two boxes of its 4,000-count fanfold format supply 8,000 labels, leaving 2,000 beyond that requirement. This arithmetic does not make roll and fanfold stock interchangeable. Select an accepted feed format first. Apply the same whole-order calculation to the confirmed Packrift label count, then compare merchandise, delivery and required receiving charges. Treat tax consistently.

Test loading, feed, printed barcode readability and adhesion on your actual packaging before changing a recurring label order. Keep any required durability, documentation and application conditions in that test. This comparison establishes no equivalent adhesive, printer fit, outdoor life or model substitution.
