About this item
SKU WS48244PK — 48" × 24", Carbon Steel, 800 lbs Capacity, Chrome. Sold as a case of 4, shipped from US warehouses.
Heavy-duty chrome-plated carbon steel wire shelves built for industrial storage. Each 48x24 " shelf holds 800 lbs and resists rust and corrosion. This 4-pack includes snap-on post sleeves for quick assembly on adjustable open wire shelving units.
Common questions
Can these shelves work with existing wire shelving units?
Yes. These 48" x 24" shelves are designed as replacement or additional shelves for standard adjustable open wire shelving units. The snap-on post sleeves ensure compatibility with most industry-standard 1" diameter posts.
How much weight can each shelf hold?
Each shelf supports up to 800 lbs when properly distributed across the surface. For optimal performance and longevity, distribute loads evenly and avoid concentrating weight at shelf edges.
Why choose chrome-plated carbon steel over other materials?
Chrome plating provides corrosion and rust resistance, extending shelf lifespan in wet or humid environments like warehouses and commercial kitchens. This reduces replacement costs and maintenance downtime compared to uncoated steel or cheaper alternatives.
Are these shelves easy to install?
Yes. Snap-on post sleeves eliminate the need for tools or hardware. Simply slide the shelf onto existing posts, installation takes seconds per shelf, reducing labor costs for warehouse expansions or reconfiguration projects.
