Match Structure to the Contents
MORE INFO
Compare flexible envelopes, padded mailers and corrugated mailer boxes. Check the packed item and the protection it needs; no single format is suitable for every shipment.
Check Cushioning and Usable Space
MORE INFO
A padded lining takes up interior space and does not guarantee protection for every fragile item. Confirm the usable opening, packed thickness and closure, adding appropriate protection when the item needs it.
Confirm the Closure
MORE INFO
Check whether the selected mailer uses a peel-and-seal strip, tuck closure, tape or separate end caps. Allow room for the packed item and any cushioning so the closure works as intended.

Use these buying guides to choose between poly and bubble mailers, and decide when to use a box instead.

Overview

Choose a mailer by usable size, format and closure. Compare flexible mailers, padded envelopes, corrugated literature mailers and mailing tubes. Measure the item after adding any cushioning; width and length alone do not show whether a filled mailer will close. For a larger or mixed-format order, request a mailer quote.

Start with the right format

  • Flexible or padded: check the usable opening and room for the item's thickness. A padded lining does not establish that the package is suitable for every fragile item.
  • Corrugated mailer: compare all three inside dimensions and the closure. Check whether the exact SKU needs tape or has a self-seal strip.
  • Mailing tube: confirm usable length, diameter and whether end caps are included. Packing list envelopes hold documents on another package; they are a separate format.

A bulk mailer example

M1433: 14 x 3 x 3 inch white ECT-32 corrugated mailers is a long, narrow format with a 3 x 3 inch inside cross-section. Each bundle contains 50 mailers: 8 bundles supply 400. For a different shape, compare M754: 7 x 5 x 4 inch white literature mailers, 50 per pack. These are different sizes, not interchangeable options.

For a quote, send each SKU or required usable size, format, closure and quantity. Specify individual mailers or packs, the delivery ZIP and required date. Product pages show current prices and availability; delivery depends on the order and destination.

What to check first

  • Usable inside size
  • Padding or material
  • Closure type
  • Case quantity
Common wrong-order risk: Forgetting item thickness. A mailer that fits flat dimensions can still be too tight once the product is packed.
