Uline Packing Tape Alternatives: Rolls, Adhesive and Case Sizes

Product listings reviewed October 2, 2026 · U.S. packaging buyers

A useful Uline packing tape alternative needs to work on your cartons and in your dispenser. Compare adhesive, width, roll length, thickness and purchase quantity before looking at the pack price. The Packrift options below are clear acrylic carton sealing tapes in different widths and case sizes.

Match the tape to the carton and equipment

Start with the Uline model your team uses and the way it is applied. Hand-applied pressure-sensitive tape, machine-length rolls and water-activated tape are different buying routes. Keep the required adhesive and dispenser specification in your comparison instead of treating every roll as the same consumable.

Uline’s tape guide compares application conditions and adhesive performance as well as width and thickness. Use the exact product’s specifications for your temperature, carton surface and sealing requirement. A broader or thicker tape does not automatically prove suitability.

The tape replacement checklist

Check What to confirm
Adhesive and backing Acrylic, hot melt, natural rubber or water-activated; backing and required application conditions
Width The tape width accepted by your dispenser and sealing process
Roll length Yards or metres per roll, with units normalized before comparison
Thickness The stated thickness and whether the supplier specifies total tape or backing thickness
Equipment fit Core and outside roll diameter; hand or machine application
Buying unit Rolls per pack or case and total rolls or usable length needed

Packrift acrylic tape options

These catalog listings illustrate how width and pack count change the order. They are not verified replacements for a specific Uline tape or dispenser. Open each product page for current pricing and availability, and confirm equipment fit before ordering.

Packrift option Width × length per roll Listed adhesive and thickness Rolls per purchase unit
T9011266PK — 2-inch acrylic tape 2 in × 55 yd Acrylic · 2.6 mil 6
T901126 — 2-inch acrylic tape 2 in × 55 yd Acrylic · 2.6 mil 36
T906126 — 3-inch acrylic tape 3 in × 55 yd Acrylic · 2.6 mil 24

The six-pack and 36-roll case both list 2-inch width and 55-yard length. They give a buyer different purchase quantities for that listed format. The 3-inch option changes the width and case count; check that the dispenser accepts it and that the wider strip suits the sealing process.

Normalize the length before comparing costs

Six 55-yard rolls contain 330 nominal yards; thirty-six contain 1,980. Twenty-four 55-yard rolls contain 1,320. These calculations describe purchased length, before application waste. Compare the same width and approved tape specification before comparing price per yard.

A cost per roll can mislead when one roll is shorter, wider or built for a different machine. Include shipping for the actual cases you intend to buy, then calculate delivered cost per roll and per nominal yard on the matched specification. Use the delivered-cost worksheet for the whole order.

Check sealing performance in your own process

Try the candidate on the cartons you use, with the normal dispenser, application pressure and storage conditions. Look for the seal behavior your operation requires after packing and handling. Keep approved specialty tape when the candidate’s specifications or your trial do not support a change.

For repeat purchasing, record the accepted tape SKU, width, roll length and rolls per case. For a mixed packaging order, bring the tape lines together with the boxes and other supplies in your quote request so the quantities and delivery requirements are clear.

Questions before switching

Is clear acrylic tape the same as Uline Industrial tape?

That has not been established here. “Clear” describes appearance; it does not identify the adhesive formula, temperature range or sealing performance. Match the specific listings and validate the candidate.

Can I replace a 2-inch tape with a 3-inch tape?

Confirm that your dispenser accepts the width and that your carton-sealing process supports the change. The width changes the specification and the comparison.

Is price per roll enough to compare tape?

No. Check length, width, adhesive, thickness and equipment fit, then compare delivered cost for the same approved specification and purchase quantity.
