Product listings reviewed October 2, 2026 · U.S. packaging buyers
Compare Uline poly mailer alternatives by the shipment you pack, including usable fit, film thickness, cushioning and closure. Packrift has self-seal poly mailers and bubble-lined options to evaluate. Match the construction first, then compare the same number of mailers with shipping included.
Keep padded and unpadded mailers separate
An unpadded poly mailer and a poly bubble mailer can share a similar name while providing different packaging. Start with your current Uline model and record whether it is an unpadded bag, a bubble-lined envelope, a gusseted mailer or a returnable format. Preserve the construction your product needs.
For clothing and other non-fragile contents, an unpadded format may be worth evaluating. An item that needs cushioning calls for a different comparison. Keep any required protective inserts in the packing trial and cost calculation. Color is also a purchasing choice: the two colored options below should be reviewed against any presentation or visibility requirement in your existing order.
Match these specifications
| Requirement | Compare on both listings |
|---|---|
| Usable fit | Listed dimensions, measurement convention, seams, flap and packed-item thickness |
| Material and film | Poly material and mil thickness; any specified tear or puncture performance |
| Protection | Unpadded, bubble-lined or another cushioning construction |
| Closure | Self-seal flap, return strip, gusset or other required features |
| Purchase unit | Mailers per case, whole cases required and the total mailer count |
Uline’s mailer guide makes allowance for product thickness when sizing a mailer and distinguishes unpadded poly from bubble and padded formats. Confirm whether each listing gives outside dimensions or usable interior dimensions. Do not apply a fixed deduction to every brand or construction.
Packrift mailers to evaluate
Product specifications below were checked in the catalog on October 2, 2026. They are candidate formats, not verified Uline equivalents. Current prices and availability are on the linked product pages.
| Packrift option | Listed dimensions | Construction | Mailers per case |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPM1013BK — black poly mailers | 10 × 13 in | 2.5 mil; self-seal | 100 |
| CPM1013BL — blue poly mailers | 10 × 13 in | 2.5 mil; self-seal | 100 |
| B831 — white poly bubble mailers | 6.5 × 10 in | Bubble-lined; self-seal | 250 |
The black and blue mailers share the listed 10 × 13 inch size, 2.5 mil film and 100-count purchase unit. Choose the presentation your order requires. The bubble-lined option has a different listed size, construction and case count; use it only when those features suit the item. Do not treat it as the same product because both listings use “poly mailer.”
Build a comparable bulk order
Count shipments, then translate that requirement into whole cases. A need for 1,000 mailers corresponds to ten 100-count cases or four 250-count cases. Those quantities can be compared financially only after you have approved the respective mailer for the job.
Add merchandise, freight and required delivery charges for the same destination. Divide by the physical mailer count. Include any separate cushioning or packing materials used by one option. Our shipping-cost worksheet helps organize the full delivered comparison.
Run one complete pack-out before switching
Place the item and its normal inserts inside the candidate. Seal it without stretching or forcing the flap, check label placement and confirm the package handles as intended. A flat product measurement alone is not enough for a bulky garment or a boxed accessory.
For fragile items or a required transit standard, use the protective format and validation your operation needs. Preserve the approved Uline item if you cannot confirm that a candidate meets the requirement. For more supplier choices, see the Uline alternatives comparison.
Bring your current Uline order
Send the Uline model or product link, the required specification, physical quantity, delivery address, receiving needs and reorder frequency. Include any requirements that a substitute must meet. We can review the request against Packrift products before you change your supply.
Questions before switching
Are the 10 × 13 inch mailers a direct match for a Uline model?
No model-specific equivalence is claimed. Check the original mailer’s dimensions, film thickness, closure, color and usable fit before treating a Packrift item as a substitute.
Can a poly mailer replace a bubble mailer?
Only when the item’s protection requirements allow it. An unpadded bag does not provide a bubble lining; preserve cushioning when the packing process requires it.
Will switching mailer suppliers lower my postage?
A supplier switch alone does not establish a postage saving. Compare the completed package and the actual carrier service and charges for that shipment.
