About this item
SKU T9634713PKY — 36 yds × 36 yds, 5.2 Mil, Yellow. Sold as a case of 3, shipped from US warehouses.
3M 471 premium vinyl safety tape delivers instant adhesion on contact with zero dripping, drying, or cleanup, keeping your packing line running at full speed. This 5.2 mil yellow tape is engineered for case sealing, color coding, and splicing with durable chemical-resistant backing. Case includes 3 rolls of 1/2 " x 36 yards.
Common questions
Does this tape work with standard carton sealing dispensers?
Yes. The 1/2" width and standard core diameter are compatible with most industrial tape dispensers used in packing line operations. Confirm your dispenser's maximum roll width (typically up to 2") before ordering.
Will the adhesive stick to wet or damp cardboard?
The rubber adhesive bonds on contact even on slightly damp surfaces, but for optimal hold and peel resistance, apply to dry cardboard. The vinyl backing itself resists moisture penetration, protecting seal integrity in humid environments.
How long does a single roll last on a high-speed packing line?
36 yards (108 feet) typically seals 40 - 60 standard cartons, depending on application width and tape overlap. Calculate your monthly volume to determine if a case of 3 rolls (three 36-yard rolls = 324 feet) covers your cycle or if you need multiple cases.
Is this tape suitable for cold storage or freezer applications?
Yes. The 5.2 mil vinyl and rubber adhesive maintain flexibility and bond strength in cold environments, though adhesion is strongest when applied at room temperature (65 - 80°F). Avoid applying in sub-zero conditions without acclimation.
