About this item
SKU T9654713PKO — 36 yds × 36 yds, 5.2 Mil, Orange. Sold as a case of 3, shipped from US warehouses.
Premium 3M 471 vinyl safety tape delivers instant adhesion on first contact for fast case sealing with zero downtime. This 1 " x 36 yds orange tape (5.2 mil) resists moisture, chemicals, and abrasion, ideal for color-coded core identification and packing line patching. Sold as a case of 3 rolls.
Common questions
Will this tape stick to wet or damp corrugated boxes?
Yes. The rubber adhesive achieves instant contact adhesion even on slightly damp surfaces. However, for optimal performance on wet substrates, allow surface moisture to dry first. The vinyl backing resists moisture penetration, making it ideal for humid packing environments.
How does this tape perform in case sealing applications on high-speed lines?
The contact-activated adhesive requires no pressure-sensitive dwell time, allowing tape application at standard line speeds. The 5.2 mil thickness provides durability against belt friction and conveyor wear, while the bright orange color remains visible through the shipping cycle.
Is this compatible with standard box tape dispensers?
Yes. The 1" width and standard roll core fit most manual and pneumatic tape dispensers. Verify your dispenser's maximum roll capacity (3M 471 typically accommodates standard 2" core dispensers).
Will the color fade or transfer to packages?
No. The bright orange color is permanently locked into the vinyl backing, preventing fading, bleeding, or transfer to adjacent boxes. It maintains visibility through storage, shipping, and handling.
