Premium 3M Vinyl Tape 471 delivers fast, reliable case sealing and color-coded line marking without production delays. Each roll: 1 " wide x 36 yards, 5.2 mil durable vinyl with aggressive rubber adhesive that grabs on contact. 3-pack case optimized for high-volume packing line operations.
Common questions
Will this tape stick to cardboard and corrugated surfaces common in case sealing?
Yes. The rubber adhesive achieves instant contact bond on cardboard, corrugated board, and kraft paper, the primary substrates in case sealing. No primer or surface preparation needed, making it ideal for high-speed packing lines where application speed is critical.
Can this tape work with standard roll dispensers on our packing line?
Absolutely. The 1" width and standard roll core are compatible with all industrial tape dispensers, including handheld models and mounted dispenser systems. The easy-apply design minimizes operator training and reduces production downtime during changeover.
How does this tape perform in humid or temperature-variable warehouse conditions?
The 5.2 mil vinyl backing resists moisture, weathering, and both acidic and alkaline chemicals, ensuring consistent adhesion and visibility even in fluctuating conditions. This durability prevents adhesion failure on sealed cases during storage or transport.
What makes the yellow color better for color-coding than generic tape?
The bright yellow is permanently locked into the vinyl substrate, it won't fade, scratch off, or bleed through even with rough handling. This permanent visibility ensures supervisors and sorters can instantly identify sealed cases and routed shipments without second-guessing.
