Common questions
Will this tape leave adhesive residue on my packaging equipment or product surfaces?
No. The crepe paper backing with rubber-based adhesive is engineered for clean removal without residue. This is essential for maintaining line hygiene and ensuring finished products meet quality standards without post-removal cleaning.
Can I use this tape in heated sealing environments or near paint ovens?
Yes. The 3M 301+ withstands temperatures up to 225°F for up to 30 minutes, making it suitable for applications near paint lines, heat-set equipment, and thermal sealing stations. Verify your specific exposure time and temperature requirements for your process.
Is the yellow color standard for inventory tracking and line identification?
Yes. The bright yellow finish provides excellent visibility for color-coding applications, marking zones, and identifying taped bundles or sealed cases on fast-moving production lines. High contrast aids in quality control audits.
How many linear feet of tape do I get per case, and what's the coverage for standard case sealing?
Each case contains 720 linear yards (2,160 linear feet) across 12 rolls. For standard 12" case sealing, one roll covers approximately 60 cases. Bulk purchasing ensures consistent adhesion performance across high-volume packing operations without mid-shift roll changes.
