Common questions
How much usable room does the 12x18" size really have?
The listed size is 12x18". The catalog lists inside-usable dimensions of 12" Width x 18" Height, so that measurement is what your item has to fit within.
How does 2 mil compare with lighter or heavier film?
A mil is one-thousandth of an inch, so 2 mil film is 2/1000" thick — 4 mil film, for example, is twice the film thickness of 2 mil. Heavier film of the same material stands up to punctures and rough handling better; lighter film costs less per bag and packs tighter. This listing's material is specified as Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), 2 Mil Thickness.
Is there a drop-in substitute for PB3989?
Not as an exact replacement. The closest sizes in this line are 12x15" and 14x20" (same 2 mil film), and the same 12x18" size is also stocked in 4 mil. Before switching, match the listed dimensions, 2 mil thickness, closure type, and case count — then reorder by exact SKU PB3989.
How does the closure work, and what does a full order look like?
The closure is listed as Reclosable Zipper with White Write-On Block, so the bag closes without separate tape or heat. This listing is sold as one case of 1,000 bags — roughly $0.19 per bag at the current case price (confirm the live price before ordering). Orders ship from Packrift's five US warehouse regions (Central IL, NE PA, S TX, SE GA, and W CA); delivery options and timing are shown at checkout.
